Is it really hard to say someone's name properly after they have told you how to pronounce it 100 times? NO!!
(This is a few months late...) This passed cycle of America's Next Top Model, featured a Polish girl (she's a naturalized American citizen) and her name is Katarzyna; pronounce kah-tah-ZHI-nah. However, Tyrant Banks proceeded to pronounce her name, ka-TAR-zhinah. Thanks Tyra, this is why the world laughs at Americans.
Tyra also made a big fuss over Kat's looks. In the supermodel's mind, Kat was too sexy and overt. I don't see how, she never wore slutty outfits and wiggled when she walked. (She does have a good runway walk too!) Some of the other judges agreed, because they would be sent to the dungeon, or West Virginia, if they disagreed with Tyra Banks. While Tyra thought Porn-Star, Paulina Porizkova and Miss J called her the Russian mail order bride.
Katarzyna also received two makeovers. She was originally a dark blonde, then it was dyed to a chocolate brown color. The girls had a photoshoot where they had to personify a music genre, Kat got Emo. She she wore a short wig, which inspired Tyrant to give her a shorter do. And then, Paulina made her infamous comment, "That weird Eastern European tackiness is now gone."
The judges seemed to have contradicted themselves the entire cycle. First saying Kat works well with her eyes, then later saying you don't do well with you eyes, you need to work the eyes. And also saying she has no personality. How is she supposed to show her personality when she's being judged and no one lets her talk?
Usually I don't get so heated when it comes to ANTM, but I think I feel this way because Katarzyna was not like the other girls (also because I know how it feels to have your name mispronounced). She was poised, intelligent and, best of all, she wasn't loud and obnoxious.
I luv this quote by her: "I vow never to let anyone tell me how to feel about my body - not the media, not my peers, not the cute boy who doesn't pay attention to me. I am beautiful."
She deserved to win on the basis that she breaks the model stereotype!
Anyway.... Here's the best part:
The winner of ANTM gets signed to ELITE the top modeling agency in the world. Even though Kat didn't win, she still got signed to Elite! Yay! Woo-hoo! Don't worry, I'm not gonna be creepy and live vicariously through her. Katarzyna's page in Elite. Also here are some of her new test shots...

Tyra's a noobtart who can't do anything correct. She sucked at modeling and she always thought she was the best. I mean after the 2 thousandth (sp?)time you would think she would be able to pronounce Kata's name. Katarzyna sound it out and it would be pronounced like kah-tah-zhi-nah. She even told Trya like a billion times. Now to end my whole Trya's a noob. LLAMAS!
Tyra Banks is the same woman who flipped out at a girl for not crying when she got kicked off the show. This woman clearly has no brain. For crying out loud, she keeps trying to convince people that modeling is more than just looks. I think she may be a little high on that show and that is why she can't pronounce a girl's name. Now for all you noobcakes that don't know how to pronounce Mishka...it is this Mish-ka (keep note that the "i" is like the one in fish).
pronounce my name however you want... whether it be mish-ka or meesh-ka.
